SUMMARY OF DUTIES

To provide technical and administrative support to the Human Resource Director in facilitating the implementation of the Agency’s Training and Development Policies and Plans.

  • Training Development and Succession Plans in place
  • Successful implementation and timely maintenance of the Performance management system
  • Well-trained and competent staff in place

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, manage and administer training and development policies and programmes for the Agency
  • In consultation with line Managers and performance reviews identify staff training needs
  • Formulate Training Budget; plan, develop and execute training plans
  • Liaise with relevant training institutions and external and internal resource professionals to coordinate and ensure delivery of training programmes
  • As required, deliver relevant training and development programmes and initiatives
  • Ensure evaluation of training programmes and courses; perform follow-up activities to ascertain impact of the development activity on trainees’ work and productivity
  • Liaising with line Managers, ensure the effective implementation and operation of the Performance Management system
  • Coordinates employee development plans and assist in career counselling
  • Assist in the development of a Succession Plan
  • Compile relevant statistics on the work of the section and provide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, HR Development, Education or equivalent qualification
  • Five (5) years related working experience
